Dollar Store Dishes: Garlic Bread Philly Cheese Steak w/ Onion Rings and Horseradish Jalapeno Dipping Sauce

PHOENIX -- 3TV's Kaley O'Kelly issued a challenge to some of the best chefs in the Valley to not only shop at Dollar Tree, but also to come up with a gourmet meal with the ingredients they find there.

Yes, you can find delicious ingredients to create out-of-this-world meals on a budget.

Today we're tackling lunch.

1 13 oz. bag TJ farms onion rings
Half a 14oz. bag of Jennifer’s garden frozen peppers and onions
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 ea. Frozen Furlani garlic bread
6oz. Sargento shredded mozzarella
3 ea. Stampede ribeye steak 3.5 oz.
2oz. polar sliced jalapenos
4 oz. calder’s horseradish sauce
2 oz. pampa banana peppers
Salt and pepper

To begin thaw out the steak and the garlic bread. Slice the steak into strips. In a medium-hot pan place the olive oil in it and begin to brown the steak. Season with salt and pepper.

Add the peppers and onions and garlic and continue to cook for a few minutes. A

dd the banana peppers and half of the cheese. Let the cheese get good and melted.

Place this mix onto the garlic and top with rest of the cheese. Bake at 350 degrees until cheese is melted.

or the dipping sauce mix horseradish and jalapenos together.

Pumpkin soup w/ salted corn nuts 
Serves 4
2 ea. 15 oz. cans of Festival pumpkin solid
1 32 oz. container Kendale farm chicken broth
1 pinch cinnamon
1 pinch ground clove
1 tsp minced garlic
1 pinch dried chopped onions
Salted corn nuts for garnish

Place all ingredients in a pot and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 20 minutes and then puree in a blender until smooth.  Season with salt and pepper.
