Scottsdale woman claims bodies are buried in HOA park

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- A Scottsdale woman says she's been keeping a secret about bodies buried in a park for more than a decade.
Joanne Lawlor broke the news to her neighbors in a community newsletter this month.
Lawlor says her former neighbors confided in her that their remains would be buried in the Villa Monterey HOA community park after their deaths. She says the two died in the late 1990s, and she has kept their secret until now.
"I think it's time something is done about it. I'd like to see them memorialized. They need to have a plaque," Lawlor told 3TV.
Home burials are legal in Arizona, but it's unclear if the HOA board at the time of the deaths knew about the unmarked graves in the park.
