Flagstaff police: Street party 'out of control'Posted: Updated:
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) -- Flagstaff police say up to 1,000 young people attended a large street party outside a student-oriented housing complex near Northern Arizona University over the weekend.
The Arizona Daily Sun reports that 14 people were arrested Saturday for underage drinking, eight for public consumption of alcohol and one for having an open container in The Grove. A handful of additional people were arrested nearby that evening.
Police Lt. Lance Roberts said the party outside The Grove was out of control but it was welcome news that the managers of the complex were the ones who called police about the situation.
