TUCSON, Ariz. -- U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Mariposa Cargo Facility seized more than $2.3 million worth of marijuana found in a commercial load of electrical goods.

Officials said a Mexican man attempted to bring 4,661 pounds of marijuana into Arizona through the Port of Nogales on Friday.

Officers found the marijuana inside a tractor-trailer after a K-9 alerted to the drugs during an inspection. Two hundred bundles of marijuana were removed from the vehicle.

The tractor-trailer and drugs were seized.

The driver, Carlos Munoz-Munoz, 35, was referred to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
