PHOENIX (AP) -- A suspected rapist in Gilbert whose conviction was reversed four years ago now is facing child pornography charges.

Maricopa County prosecutors say 31-year-old John Kenneth Watkins was arrested Oct. 7 and indicted on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

He allegedly was accessing child pornography on his work computer.

Authorities say Watkins is a registered sex offender on lifetime probation for a previous child porn conviction.

Watkins was arrested in June 2003 after the Gilbert rape victim and a witness identified him in a photo lineup.

He pleaded guilty to sexual assault and sentenced to 14 years in prison.

But Watkins was released in December 2010 after serving more than half his term.

Authorities say DNA testing on evidence was inconclusive and the case was dismissed without prejudice.
