PHOENIX -- The Super Bowl is only 100 days away and the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee donated $50,000 to Elevate Phoenix at Bernard Black Elementary School Friday.
"We are ready to go and so excited to be here at Bernard Black this morning to give away a big check to Elevate Phoenix," Jay Parry of the AZ Super Bowl Host committee said. "It's one of the great things that comes through with Super Bowl."
The committee is giving away 2 million dollars to charity in total.
"[This donation] means 4,000 hours of mentoring to elementary, high school, and college students that are in our program in Title 1 schools in Phoenix," Tim Cleary, CEO of the AZ Super Bowl Host Committee, said.
