PHOENIX -- Warm weather continues as a ridge of high pressure floats across the desert Southwest.
Right now, it looks like Friday and Saturday will also be pretty warm days followed by cooler temperatures Sunday into next week. We’re looking at mid-90s for highs Friday and Saturday. By Monday, we’ll be in the low-80s.
The reason for the change is a trough of low pressure that will settle over the Great Basin for a couple of days.
For us, we’ll get some clouds, some breezes and the aforementioned cooler temperatures, but it doesn’t look like there’s much of a chance of rain anywhere in the state. As is typical this time of year, the cold front that will pass across Arizona will be pretty dry.
After that, we’ll see a gradual warming trend next week and expect Valley highs to be in the upper 80s by Halloween.
