The Talking Stick Entertainment District is booming.

Top Golf opened there recently. So did the Butterfly Wonderland and Odysea Mirror Maze.

Now, two new attractions are about to break ground.

"Everybody dreams of flying," said professional skydiver Jason Peters. "You know, kids, everybody does. FliteShop -- you're going to be able to make that dream a reality."

Peters can't wait to share his passion for skydiving with people right here in the Valley.

"This is a great way to experience flying," he said. "It's a nice controlled environment."

Peters and his business partner, Gary Schmit, are turning a piece of land near Talking Stick Casino and adjacent to the Butterfly Wonderland into a FliteShop -- an indoor skydiving simulator.

"It's approximately $8.5 million, about a 10-month build time," Schmit said. "We break ground in about a month or so. It's going to be pretty exciting. We're happy to be part of this entertainment district."

But if you'd rather keep your feet on the ground, next to FliteShop a new aquarium is moving in.

"We're building the largest aquarium in the Southwest. Two hundred thousand square feet and we're going to redefine the aquarium experience," said Ran Knishinsky of the Odysea Aquarium.

It will be an interactive sealife experience.

"People will put on helmets and go underwater for 10 to 15 minutes where they will experience marine life," Knishinsky said.

"We'll have everything from sharks to sea lions to octopus to seahorses," he said.

The aquarium will also offer shopping, restaurants and more attractions as the Talking Stick Entertainment District grows.

Odysea Aquarium should be open in 17 months. FliteShop plans to open in 10 months.
