PHOENIX -- How does some free food sound? Valley residents Tuesday are getting the chance to enjoy a free breakfast or brunch, and help others at the same time.

First Watch sponsoring Free Omelet Day to benefit St. Vincent de Paul's programs and services. All omelets on the menu will be free of charge and diners are asked to give a donation to St. Vincent de Paul.

"100 percent of it goes to families in need," says Mary Chou-Thompson with St. Vincent de Paul.

Free Omelet Day lasts until 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Then this Thursday, First Watch will deliver the donations and bring the restaurant experience to St. Vincent de Paul's family dining room. First Watch staff will take over the central kitchen to prepare and serve signature First Watch omelets to more than 300 children and parents who otherwise would not be able to afford a restaurant experience.

First Watch has partnered up with St. Vincent de Paul for 20 years. "They are such a great community partner," says Mary. "Doing this for us, raising money. They also come in and volunteer and serve dinner to our families."
