PHOENIX -- Two people are in custody following a pursuit of a stolen vehicle early Tuesday morning, according to Sgt. Jay O'Neill with the Glendale Police Department.

Officers spotted the vehicle near 43rd Avenue and Camelback Road.

There was a six-minute pursuit that ended at the Estancia Del Sol apartment complex.

The vehicle was located but the suspects were gone.

Eventually, those suspects were found in the apartment complex and detained. One suspect had broken some glass while trying to break into an apartment. The other suspect was caught in the parking lot after a short foot pursuit.

Police said the driver is a juvenile and the other suspect has been identified as Michael Gomez, 18.

The vehicle was apparently stolen during an armed robbery near 67th Avenue and Indian School Road in Phoenix just before midnight Thursday.

Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump said the victim was sitting in her car when two male suspects wearing hooded sweatshirts ordered her out of the vehicle at gunpoint. They took her vehicle, cellphone and other personal belongings.
