KEARNY, Ariz. -- Residents in one Arizona town said the water that's coming out the faucets is black.
It's happening to residents in Kearny, about 90 minutes southeast of Phoenix.
Residents sent 3TV pictures of the tap water taken Monday morning.
Several residents called asking us to look into it.
The town of Kearny tells 3TV the town's fire chief was testing fire hydrants Monday morning and ended up breaking dirt and other sediment loose in the pipes, allowing it to get into the water. And to make matters worse, Kearny's filtration plant wasn't working.
The town said both issues are being addressed.
Some residents tell 3TV their water is back to normal.
Others said it's been a problem for weeks, and they still do not believe their water is safe.
