CHANDLER, Ariz. -- Chandler High School Orchestra and rock band Consider The Source are holding a concert Monday night to benefit the family of a local flight attendant who passed away over the summer.

Wendy Van Briesen died in a surfing accident in Maui on July 19 while on vacation.

"Wendy Van Briesen was a friend of mine at Southwest Airlines and she left a legacy behind that we all can aspire to become," said Jeff Senour, founder of Consider The Source. "And we picked Chandler because they're Chandler residents."

The performance will feature approximately 50 high school students and members of the orchestra who will get up on stage with Consider The Source and jam out to original rock music.

"It's a plug and play show," Senour said. "Our show is designed to inspire the youth of America to live their dreams and we also talk about our veterans and people who serve -- our police, fire, teachers -- that they live in the greatest country on Earth to make their dreams come true."

The benefit concert will be held at 7 p.m. at Chandler Center for the Arts.

The concert is $22 for general admission and $8 for students with a promo code.

Proceeds with go to Van Briesen's family as well as the Chandler High music program.
