"I did really well," he said. "I came first in my division so that gave me the title of above-knee world champion, which is kind of surreal. It's a really good feeling. I didn't expect to do that well."
The sport is gaining such popularity, Sidebottom and other top golfers are working to make it a Paralympic sport.
"It's super impressive to see people with no legs and missing arms and being blind, it's really impressive to see them hit so far," he said.
Sidebottom is hoping to one day add Olympic champion to his world champion title.
Sidebottom is getting some national television exposure. His tournament win was covered by the Golf Channel and will air Monday.
