Get ahead on holiday getaway planningPosted: Updated:
It's never too early to start planning for the holidays.
Lesley Nagy, lifestyle editor at travelzoo.com, has some suggestions on how to beat the crowd when it comes to planning holiday vacations.
"You have to plan," Nagy said. "If you're taking flights, for example, 45 to 60 days in advance is when you should be booking your flight, especially if you're talking about New York."
Fly.com has a holiday fare calendar that shows the cheapest days to fly.

-Radio City Christmas Spectacular at Radio city Music Hall ($32.50-$42.50)
