PEORIA, Ariz. -- Three people were displaced after a fire tore through the attic of their Peoria home Sunday.

Peoria Fire Battalion Chief Ron Singleton said about 20 firefighters from two departments battled the flames at the home near 75th and Peoria avenues.

"Probably within about five minutes, the fire was knocked down," Singleton said.

The fire was contained to the attic.

Singleton said three people were home at the time of the fire, but they evacuated before firefighters arrived.

The cause is under investigation.
