PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) -- Authorities say an arrest has been made in the theft of $20,000 worth of pills from a Mayer pharmacy nearly two years ago.
The Daily Courier reports that a 34-year-old Prescott Valley man is jailed on charges of burglary, theft and possession of a narcotic drug.
The theft occurred in 2012 at the Spring Valley Pharmacy in Mayer. Authorities say someone had used a power saw to cut a hole in the business' roof and climb in. The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office says nearly 1,400 pain pills were stolen.
The suspect was wearing a mask but surveillance video showed a distinctive tattoo on his hand.
Tips recently led authorities to the man who police say ultimately confessed.
