PHOENIX -- Phoenix police say they found a man with a gunshot wound in a north Phoenix parking lot early Saturday morning.

Police spokesman Sgt. Trent Crump said the man indicated he was approached by someone in the McDonald's parking lot near Seventh Avenue and Union Hills Drive around 4:45 a.m. and shot for no apparent reason.

He had a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg, Crump said.

Police searched the area but did not locate a suspect.
