PHOENIX -- The weather story hasn’t changed much since Monday. We still have a ridge of high pressure bringing us warm, dry weather. Wednesday will be the warmest day of the week with highs around the Valley reaching into the mid-90s. We’ll also see a fair amount of high clouds from the sub-tropics on Wednesday.
After that, expect temperatures to moderate slowly as we head toward the weekend. And by the weekend, look for highs around metro Phoenix to be in the upper-80s, about average for this time of year. Overnight lows will generally be in the 60s.
By the middle of next week, we may see a chance for some showers around metro Phoenix. However, the longer range charts are showing us little detail as of right now. It’s quite possible that chance for showers will only materialize for the southeast corner of Arizona.
