SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- A little bit of Broadway comes to the Valley this weekend, as Horizon High School in Scottsdale presents its annual "Broadway Under the Stars" event.

It's the school's biggest show of the season. This year's theme is "You Should Be Dancing."

During the performances, Horizon's award-winning show choirs will perform top Broadway hits, from musicals like Mamma Mia, The Wiz, Dream Girls and Rock of Ages.
More than 350 kids will take the stage. Countless other students, staffers and parent volunteers have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to put together this professional-quality production.

"We're here about 20 hours a weekend, typically," says Horizon's choral director Allison Guilford.

You can expect Broadway quality not just from the performers, but from an amazing new lighting system. Horizon now has more lights in its theater than the Orpheum! "Our generous booster club and our district teamed up to make our auditorium one of the best in the state," says Guilford. "We are very, very blessed."

The show is affordable and great entertainment for the whole family!
