PHOENIX (AP) -- Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer is ordering U.S. flags on all state office buildings lowered in honor of fallen firefighters, including 19 Hotshots.

Brewer says flags will fly at half-staff in commemoration of National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend.

They will remain lowered until sunset Sunday.

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation holds a national tribute every October for firefighters who died in the line of duty the previous year. Officials at the National Fire Academy in Maryland will hold a service for 107 firefighters.

Brewer says this year's tribute is especially poignant as those lost include 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots.

The firefighters were killed June 30, 2013 in the Yarnell Hill Fire in northern Arizona.
