SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. -- A 28-year-old San Tan Valley man has been arrested for allegedly downloading and viewing child pornography.

Detectives from the Arizona Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force served a search warrant Thursday at Matthew Lewis' home near Hunt Highway and Thompson Road.

According to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, Lewis confessed to downloading and viewing child pornography after evidence was found inside his home.

Lewis has been charged with 10 felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of voyeurism.

He remained in custody Friday at Pinal County Jail on $100,000 bond.

"Matthew Lewis is a sexual predator, who was removed from our community on egregious charges where he is viewing innocent children being victimized," Sheriff Paul Babeu said in a statement. "Matthew Lewis is now in a Pinal County Jail cell where he can no longer get gratification out of viewing these types of crimes being committed to children."

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office is the lead agency in the investigation, but the task force is made up of local, county, state and federal investigators.
