PHOENIX -- It's opening day at the Arizona State Fair!
3TV's Heidi Goitia covered the new attractions, new food and some of the ol' favorites.
The State Fair runs through Nov. 2, and for Friday only, it's $2 admission until 5 p.m.
Kiddie Land is an obvious favorite for the kids.
Goitia also went inside the new Hall of Heroes, which will be a huge hit for boys of all ages.
And what would the fair be without some funky foods? This year the State Fair outdoes itself again in the food department, offering one-of-a-kind items such as The Big Daddy Corndog, a Double-Decker Funnel Cake and Deep Fried Coffee.
The fair opens at noon Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and at 10 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays. It's closed on Monday and Tuesdays.
Check the Arizona State Fairs website for daily discounts.
