BLACK CANYON CITY, Ariz. -- The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office is searching for suspects after two mobile radar trailers were vandalized in Black Canyon City.

On Oct. 6, a sheriff's volunteer reported damage to two trailers on Old Black Canyon Highway, one near Palm Lane and the other near Maggie Mine Road.

Both trailers had their wires damaged and tires slashed.

The trailers are usually placed as a result of speed complaints from citizens and are used as warning devices. They measure and display drivers' speeds but do not record vehicle or driver information.

The trailers are being repaired. The damage estimate is unknown.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff's office at 928-771-3260 or Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232.
