Tucson police ID man found shot to death

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Police have identified a shooting victim whose body was found on a Tucson street.

Police spokesman Brandon Tatum says 29-year-old Edward Murphy was spotted lying in a road on Friday shortly before 3 p.m. near East 32nd Street and South Fremont Avenue.

Tatum says Murphy had clear signs of gunshot injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide and gang detectives are still investigating. Witnesses say Murphy had been shot multiple times by an unidentified suspect, who fled the scene in a sedan.
