SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Scottsdale students staffed about 100 free lemonade stands across the city on Sunday to encourage the public to vote for a budget override.

The election for the override will be held Nov. 4. If passed, the override could provide Scottsdale Unified schools with an estimated $18 million in additional funding.

Organizer Kathy Graf said students were spreading the message about how the schools could use the money.
