DIY Halloween decorations

PHOENIX -- Home Depot's Debbie Hernandez shared some easy, inexpensive crafts for fall/Halloween.

Dryer hose pumpkin

-Dryer hose
-Hot glue gun
-Spray paint
-Spanish moss
-Cinnamon sticks
-Wire cutters or tin snips

-Count 34 rings, and cut dryer hose with wire cutters or tin snips.
-Stretch it out, form a ring, and glue the two ends together.
-Spray paint the pumpkin as desired.
-Hot glue moss and cinnamon stick to the center.
-Garnish with fall leaves and enjoy!

Candy corn bottles

-Empty glass wine, liquor or soda bottles.
-White, yellow and orange spray paint.
-Fall leaf stems, optional.

-Soak bottles in dish soap and warm water to remove the labels.
-Spay paint the bottles with white spray paint, let dry.
-Spray paint the bottom of the bottle in yellow and the middle in orange.
-allow to dry for at least 24 hours.
-Garnish with fall leaf stems and enjoy!

Fall/Halloween rustic saying boards

-1-by-6-by-8-foot board, cut to desired length (24 inches is good)
-Flat paint, two colors
-Paste wax
-150-grit sandpaper
-Paint markers

-Paint the board with base color
-Brush or wipe on a layer of paste wax. This will protect the base color when sanding the top color.
-Let dry.
-Paint the board with the second color over the paste wax. Let dry.
-Lightly sand corners, edges and some of the top to desired rustic look.
-Use paint markers to write your saying and decorate your board.
-Drill two holes long way or short way.
-Feed twine through the holes and tie knots to hang board from.
-Hang and enjoy!
