PHOENIX -- Police are searching for the person who drove a stolen car into a Phoenix Peter Piper Pizza and then fled the scene.

It happened at about 10 p.m. Thursday in the strip mall at Seventh Avenue and Osborn Road.

According to police, the vehicle went through a floor-to-ceiling window of the Peter Piper Pizza, which is next door to a nail salon. It's not clear it was intentional or accidental.

The suspect abandoned the vehicle and ran from the scene. That person was still on the loose.

Police do not have a solid description of the suspect. They only said that the driver was young, possibly a teenager.

Liza Brun, who works at another business in the strip mall, told 3TV's Jill Galus she saw the SUV speeding through the parking lot just before it crashed through the window.

"I saw this one young Hispanic man," Brun explained. "He ran out of the vehicle and he ran out going north in the parking lot."

Brun said he was wearing tight blue jeans and an orange and blue plaid shirt.

She also said she yelled at him to stop.

"He just kept on running," she said. "He ran so fast."

Brun said she heard that there was a second person who ran the opposite direction, but police have not confirmed that.

The window, which fronts the arcade portion of the Peter Piper Pizza, has since been boarded over

No injuries were reported.
