PHOENIX -- Our pleasant fall-like weather continues today with a below-average high temperature of about 92 degrees in the Valley this afternoon. Overnight lows will dip to the 60s again under clear skies.
A shortwave weather disturbance continues to pass by to our north with a weak cold front dropping south through Arizona. This will do little more than bring some breezy northeasterly winds from time to time and stall the warm-up that's coming this weekend.
High pressure building into our region begins a warming trend tomorrow through the weekend, with above-normal temperatures that will peak near 100 in some locations on Saturday. Lows will rise a bit, but still cool off to the mid 60s to low 70s around town.
The ridge of high pressure weakens next week, leading to a slow cooling trend that will bring us back to the normal low to mid 90s that can be expected this time of year. No rain is expected in the next seven days.
