Postino opens fourth location at ASUPosted: Updated:
TEMPE, Ariz. -- The fourth Postino location opened its doors Wednesday on College Avenue at Arizona State's Tempe campus inside a revamped art studio.
Postino's Annex will be open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.
"It's a great location, it's a 1954 schoolhouse," said Craig Demarco, owner of Postino's Annex. "You know our passion is adaptive reuse, it's all we've ever done. We are on the gateway to campus on College Avenue. It's very, very special."
Upward Projects went through a lot of effort to preserve the structure of the Art Annex building and then turn it into an adaptive reuse project.
The project took two years and extensive work with ASU to make sure that the restaurant was the appropriate fit.
The new location still has all of the Postino trademarks -- roll-up garage doors, indoor/outdoor bar and their popular bruschetta.
The space even includes a private dining area for 35.
This location will help serve as a new gateway to ASU's main campus as part of the new ASU Recruitment Walk on College Avenue.
"From our sharable menus to the open and communal layout, we really hope Postino Annex serves as a new neighborhood hub for this vibrant college community that helped shape our success," said DeMarco, an ASU alum.
Postino Annex is located at 615 S. College Ave., Tempe.
