Goodyear store clerk robbed at gunpoint

GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Goodyear police detectives are searching for two suspects in connection with an armed robbery at a convenience store.

Police said the suspects entered the Goodyear Food Store near Dysart Road and Van Buren Street at approximately 8:15 a.m. Sunday and robbed the clerk at gunpoint.

The suspects took cigarettes and cash from the register, as well as the clerk's wallet, cash and cellphone, then fled in a silver four-door sedan.

One suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20s, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a thin build and a mustache/goatee. He was wearing a gray baseball cap, white T-shirt and pants.

The second suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20s, 6 feet 1 inch to 6 feet 2 inches tall, with an athletic build, wearing a black baseball cap, white T-shirt and shorts.
