A Holiday Gift Guide Since Holiday Season Is Here Again!Posted: Updated:
How did October roll around so quickly? The years just go faster and faster and this is the time of year that I show holiday gift ideas since the shopping season has officially begun. So take a look and see if there is a cool gift suggestion for the different personalities on your list.
For the Tea Lover
For the tea lover on your list, check out the Krups Personal Tea Maker FL7018. This cool personal tea kettle holds loose tea leaves or a tea bag. The internal water circulation system infuses tea, saturates the leaves and releases optimal tea flavors. Add your loved one's favorite brand of tea bags and you have a nice gift for the tea lover. This sells for under $50 at Bed, Bath & Beyond and at Amazon.
For the On The Go Coffee Lover
Give them the Contigo Autoseal West Loop travel mug that is leak and spill proof, along with a box of their favorite gourmet coffee. This tumbler is the best that I've found because the innovative lid automatically seals between sips. Plus this BPA free mug, that comes in a variety of color options, keeps hot drinks hot for five hours and cold drinks chilled for 12 hours, so this works as a great travel coffee mug or water bottle. Sells for $20.99 at Target and at Amazon.
For the Wine Lover & This Wine Gives Back
Josh Cellars wine (named after the founder's father) is a wine that not only tastes great, but gives back, too. Josh Cellars wine supports both military service members and their families through Operation Homefront. Plus Josh Cellars also supports first responders and their families through the Gary Sinise Foundation. Josh Cellars has donated over $75,000 to the Gary Sinise Foundation in support of our heroic first responders with continued efforts for years to come. For every bottle sold, Josh Cellars donates $1 to Operation Homefront. I love supporting companies that make a difference, especially this high quality wine line. Josh Cellars wines include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Josh Cellars Legacy, which is a red wine that has a dense and lush flavor and honors the founder's father. Very cool. Get Josh Cellars wines at Total Wine and many other stores and restaurants. For a complete list of retailers visit www.joshcellars.com.
For the Fun...or Ugly Holiday Sweater Lover
Make them laugh with an original and tacky holiday sweater! These bold (and yes, tacky!) sweaters make everything seem merry and bright. Offering obnoxious, cheesy, and just plain fun sweaters for men, women, kids and dogs, with candy cane striped scarves and canes to complete the look, the company, Festified offers a good variety of fun holiday themed gifts. From hand-knitted Christmas sweaters, cardigans, turtlenecks, reindeer sweaters, illuminated Christmas sweaters, sweggings and swants, they have also added ugly NFL sweaters. Festified also offers cute and comfy holiday slippers, like the women's red reindeer boot slippers I showed in the segment that sell for $29.99. Shop for all kinds of fun and/or ugly holiday wear at www.festified.com.
For the Yoga/Gym Lover
Nothing inspires me to continue my gym workouts like pretty, comfy and brand new workout wear and I like the YogaSmoga line. It is high quality, comfortable and stylish all in one. Give the YogaSmoga Tickle Me Tank (the one I showed in the segment sells for $72) along with the Free To Play crop pants ($84 at www.yogasmoga.com). Every piece in this colorful line is extremely soft, breathable and embedded with moisture-wicking and antimicrobial treatments into the tiniest pores of their fabric so moisture and bacteria won’t be a problem, which is another plus about this line.
Pair the YogaSmoga wear with an earth friendly cool yoga mat by Kulae called the tpECOmat Plus. This 100% biodegradable mat is 72 inches long and is 5mm thick, so it is four inches longer than a standard sized yoga mat. It is also constructed with closed cell technology, so that germs, bacteria and odor can't penetrate the mat surface. It is also PVC and latex free. The Sand/Sun variety that I showed in the segment sells for $58 at www.kulae.com. For a list of local retailers that sell the Kulae yoga mats or to order online visit www.kulae.com.
For the Personalized Gift Lover
If you want to give a personalized gift, check out the Avery & Ethan website at www.averyandethan.com. For $18, I have a sweet little compact mirror for my daughter that has her name printed on the floral decorated design. See the segment to see the sample. This company also personalizes items for adults that include towels, shower curtains, monogrammed tote bags and more. Consider getting Grandma a pretty family platter with all of the names of her grandchildren printed on the attractive design that graces the plate. Several designs are available on the platter that sell for $38 and $40. See the segment to see the one that I got for my Mother-in-law.
An Educational, Fun Personalized Gift For Kids
Lost My Name books are so fun because each personalized book tells the story about a child's name being lost, so each page contains a letter in the child's name, one by one, that ends up spelling and therefore finding the lost name. And each letter describes an animal or something fun to read about as the child makes their way to the end of the book and puts the letters together to spell his or her name. This clever book idea was created by a Dad and three uncles. How cool is that?! Order these personalized books at http://www.lostmy.name. Such a great gift to give a child.
For the Gal Who Needs An At Home Spa Day
For the one on your list who runs like crazy taking care of everyone else, make her an at home spa basket. I found some cool items to put inside that include the very nice Weleda Body Oil Starter Kit that offers a sampling of luscious body oils to indulge the skin. This cool gift box kit sells for $14.99 at Whole Foods stores. The aromatherapy oil kit includes Birch Cellulite Oil, Arnica Massage Oil, Lavender Relaxing Body Oil, Wild Rose Body Oil, Sea Buckthorn Body Oil and Pomegranate Regenerating Body Oil. Pair this with a soothing facial mask by First Aid Beauty called Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask. I like to give this mask as a gift because oatmeal is very gentle, even for sensitive skin and is also very healing. This particular variety by First Aid Beauty leaves skin rehydrated, soft, smooth and supple. It contains colloidal oatmeal that has botanical antioxidants which are great for the skin. Get this for $22 at www.firstaidbeauty.com and Sephora stores.
For the Photo Lover
I love to receive photo memories. This year I'm surprising my family with individual memory books from Shutterfly that are filled with our summer vacation pics that we took in Maui last June. I also ordered an iPad cover that is decorated with our Hawaii pictures. See the segment to see the photo gifts that are all sold at www.shutterfly.com.
For the Eco Friendly Jewelry Lover
Joyo jewelry is eco friendly and trendy with styles that range from geometric lines to organic shapes to art deco inspired designs. I especially like that this line is made from sustained recycled materials. I love earth friendly products. Joyo jewelry can be ordered at www.shopjoyo.us.
What fun gift ideas do you have this holiday season? I will be sharing a few more ideas in a future segment, so stay tuned for that. For holiday planning articles, recipes and more visit my blog at www.managedmoms.com and happy holiday shopping season!
