TEMPE, Ariz. -- Handlebar Tempe on Mill Avenue is combining food, beer, bikes and charity at their Biketoberfest event this Saturday.

This day-long event on Sept. 27 will feature beer tents, bratwursts and even bike races involving children's bicycles.

"We are going to have a bunch of races on these little mini children's bikes," said Mark Walters, general manager of Handlebar Tempe. "And then after the race you donate the bike to charity."

Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell and Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton have signed up to compete against each other.

If you aren't interested in bike racing, you can try the Dunk-a-Cop tank or participate in the sausage-eating contest.

The event will benefit Navy League of Arizona and St. Vincent de Paul.

There will be music and entertainment by local DJs and German bands.
