Your Life A to Z Recipe: Monday, September 29th, 2014: Chicken and Pork Sausage Patties

Chicken Sausage Pattie

Ingredients:

1 pound Ground Chicken ( ½ Pound Breast & ½ Pound Thighs)

1 Tablesppon Poultry Seasoning

½ cup fine Diced Apples

½ Teaspoon Cinnamon

2 Teaspoons Chipotle

1 Tablesppon Cilantro

Salt & Pepper to Taste

Procedure:

In a large mixing bowl, mix all ingredients and form into small 2" round patties, in a large skillet heat and cook patties for approximately 3 minutes on each side.


Topping for Chicken Sausage

Ingredients:

1 Cup Shredded Lettuce

1 Roasted Red Bell Pepper

2 Teaspoons Whole Grain Mustard

2 Teaspoons Olive Oil

Salt & Pepper to Taste

Procedure: 

Toss together and serve over Chicken Sausage.




Pork Sausage Pattie

Ingredients:

1 pound course Ground Pork (Pork Shoulder)

1 Tablesppon Granulated Garlic

1 Tablespoon Fennel Seed

1 Teaspoon Crushed Red Chili Flakes

1 Teaspoon Ground Oregano

Salt & Pepper to Taste

Procedure:

In a large mixing bowl, mix all ingredients and form into small 2" round patties. In a large skillet, heat and cook patties for approximately 3 minutes on each side.

 

Topping for Pork Sausage

Ingredients:

½ Cup of white Onions, Thinly Sliced

½ Cup Red Onions Thinly Sliced

2 tablespoons Olive Oil

Salt & Pepper to taste

½ Cup Beer 

Procedure: 

In a large skillet, heat oil, then add all onions and sauté for approximately 5 minutes. Add beer and reduce down. Once finished, place on top of pork sausage and enjoy!
