MESA, Ariz. – Mesa police are asking for the public's help to identify a man who stole bracelets and watches from a jewelry store last month.

Police said the man went into a jewelry store near McKellips and Recker roads around 1 p.m. on Aug. 29 and asked about some bracelets.

The employee removed a T-bar stand containing bracelets and men's watches.

Police said the suspect then asked about ordering a bracelet from a catalog so the employee left the counter to get the catalog and that's when the suspect grabbed the jewelry from the T-bar and fled the store.

An employee in a nearby business saw the suspect get into the driver's seat of a silver four-door sedan, possibly a Mitsubishi Galant.

Anyone with information about the crime or the suspect's identity is asked to contact Mesa police at 480-644-2211.
