PHOENIX -- You might have heard of using acupuncture to relieve pain. It's a practice that goes back thousands of years. But did you know that acupuncture can be used to treat allergies?

For many people, allergies have been especially brutal this year.

3TV's Heidi Goitia talked to Debra Manning of the Rejuvenate Center how about how acupuncture can be an effective method of treating a variety of issues, including digestive problems and nerve damage.

"Acupuncture is where we put some fine needles into some key acupuncture points on the body to treat different conditions," Manning said. "It's 5,000 years old. It is based on what is very deep in the body. It goes down to the organ system."

Manning said her clients usually notice progress in three or four treatments, but results vary from person to person.

"We go to the deepest levels and help people heal very, very gradually and on their own," she said.

Rejuvenate Center is located at 14640 N. Tatum Blvd., Suite 8. For more information, call 602-923-1125 or check out BalanceAndHarmonyForLife.com.
