PHOENIX -- From chronic stress to general aches and pains, many people are turning to alternative methods of healing and feeling better.

One way to do that is with an Aqua Foot Detox. You don't have to take any medication or drink any odd concoctions. Really, you don't have to do much more than sit with your feet in some lukewarm water for about 30 minutes.

3TV's Heidi Goitia went to the Rejuvenate Center in Phoenix to find out how a foot detox works.

Debra Manning, a registered nurse who also has a master's degree in Oriental medicine, explained how the process releases toxins through the 4,000 pores on your feet.

You can see the water in the foot bath start to change color as those toxins exit your body.

"Following a treatment the body will continue to detoxify for up to 48 hours," according to Rejuvenate Center's website.

Manning says results vary from person to person and recommends regular treatments to get all of the benefits.

Foot detox sessions are $25 each. Packages are available.

Rejuvenate Center is located at 14640 N. Tatum Blvd., Suite 8. For more information, call 602-923-1125 or check out
