Phoenix FD: 3 displaced by house fire

PHOENIX -- Three people were displaced after their home caught fire Saturday night, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

When firefighters arrived at the home near 68th Street and Bell Road around 8:45 p.m., there was heavy fire in the rear of the home.

The fire department said the blaze was controlled quickly.

One man was outside of the home when firefighters arrived, and no occupants were found inside.

No injuries were reported, and the Phoenix Fire Department Crisis Response Team is assisting the displaced adults.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

It is unknown if the smoke detector in the home was operable.
