PHOENIX -- Tropical Storm Odile continues to pump moisture into Arizona. Valley residents woke up to light rain this morning and more is on the way. A mostly cloudy Wednesday is expected with a forecast high of 91 degrees this afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms are possible throughout the day and a Flash Flood Watch goes into effect at 11 a.m. It's in effect for much of the state until late tomorrow.
Tropical Storm Odile is expected to weaken after it makes landfall in Northern Mexico this morning and will be a tropical depression as it treks across Arizona later this afternoon and tomorrow. Heavy rain is likely in Southern and Southeastern Arizona. In the Valley, rainfall totals are likely to be closer to an inch or less.
Most of the rain is likely between this evening and tomorrow morning. There is a slight chance of rain in the forecast on Friday and Saturday before a drying trend begins by the second half of the weekend.
