PHOENIX -- After a quiet weekend of weather, Arizona is in for some big changes this week.

The Valley will see partly sunny skies by this afternoon, with a chance for blowing dust during the late afternoon and evening hours. Afternoon temperatures will peak near 103 degrees.  Showers are possible overnight tonight.

Starting tomorrow, rain becomes more likely for the Valley thanks to Hurricane Odile. The storm made landfall late Sunday near Cabo San Lucas as a category three hurricane, but was downgraded to a category two storm early Monday.  The hurricane is forecast to further weaken as it moves north over the Baja Peninsula.

Although it will no longer be a hurricane or even a tropical storm, the remnants of this storm are forecast to impact Arizona this week.

There is a chance of rain in the Valley Tuesday through the weekend, but the best chance for heavier rain may come in several rounds Wednesday and Thursday.  Below average high temperatures in the 90s are also likely.
