PHOENIX (AP) -- Arizona is seeing its first ever newly hatched Siamese Crocodiles.

The Phoenix Herpetological Society says the six male crocodiles hatched Friday.

Officials say they are the first Siamese Crocs to be born in the state.

Each crocodile measures about 8 inches long.

The Siamese Crocodile is listed as a critically endangered species. These crocodiles are part of the Society's Endangered Croc Breeding Program. Female Siamese Crocs typically lay several eggs that hatch within a week.

The organization says several female crocodiles are expected to hatch in the next several days.
