PHOENIX -- A new employment outlook survey released by ManpowerGroup shows Phoenix is among the top five cities for strong job prospects in the fourth quarter.

"I'm happy to hear that. I'm very happy to hear that," said unemployed Phoenix resident Vicki Grimes.

Manpower surveyed some 18,000 employers across the country to find out what their year-end hiring plans are.

Grimes told 3TV she is already seeing it.

"It's starting to happen 'cause Phoenix is really growing, and I see a lot of people finding jobs, you know, people that I've seen for years without jobs are finding jobs today," she said.

"This fourth quarter sets the pace for the next fiscal year," Ryan Naylor said.

Naylor is the president of LocalWork.com. He says the survey is good news for job seekers.

"Arizona is being recognized as a great place to do business, and that comes with a lot of quality jobs," he said.

And quality paychecks.

So, where are the job prospects?

Manpower says they're in construction, retail, tourism and health care.

"We are all about, you know, helping people be succesful," said VP of Sales for HealthPlanOne Cyndi West.

HealthPlanOne just opened its Phoenix location this summer after a nationwide search.

"We actually selected Phoenix because of the talent that was available here in the Phoenix market, the level of education of individuals and the work commitment of individuals," West said.

And business is booming.

In fact, the company, which sells both medicare and individual health care plans, is looking to hire at least 65 employees by mid-November.

"Our traning programs are very comprehensive, and we give people all the tools they need to be succesful," West said.

Which brings us back to Grimes. She said she is confident she will land something soon.

"There seems to be a lot of jobs available," Grimes said.

Naylor told 3TV this is a good time to dust off that resume and make sure it is up to date and ready to go.

"There's a lot of opportunity you should be able to take advantage of right now," he said.

In fact, there is a job fair coming up on Monday, Sept. 15 at the Phoenix Airport Marriott, where there will be more than 1,200 jobs for hire. It runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will also be a free pre-job fair bootcamp taking place from 9 to 10 a.m. To register, go to www.localwork.com.
