PHOENIX -- We could all use a good laugh. And what better way to get one than to go see a well-known comic appearing at the Valley's hot new comedy club.

Harland Williams will be performing Sept. 11-14 at the new venue, Rick Bronson's House of Comedy on High Street in City North.

Williams is known for his hilarious stand-up comedy and numerous appearances on The Tonight Show, Letterman, Conan and more. He also starred in movies like Half Baked, Something About Mary, Dumb and Dumber and Rocket Man.

Williams is also one of the stars of the new sitcom Package Deal, in which he plays Sheldon, the oldest and most outrageous of three dysfunctional brothers.

He also writes and illustrates his own line of children's books.

"I do humor, right? I do comedy," he says. "So I thought, how do I get my humor across to kids? So I do children's books."

"Laughter is the best medicine," he continued. "Although I'm glad they don't really use that in the medical profession."
