SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Three people were arrested in connection with the burglary of a Scottsdale Walgreens Sunday night.

Scottsdale police responded to a burglary alarm at the store on Via Linda near Mountain View Road around 9:30 p.m.

The officers reportedly saw 20-year-old Jon Gelinas running out of the back of the store and 23-year-old Andrew Whisenant standing near a vehicle behind the business. Both suspects fled on foot, police said.

Additional patrol units, K-9 units, and helicopters from the Phoenix Police Department and the Arizona Department of Public Safety were called to help search for the suspects.

Police said Gelinas was found about 90 minutes later hiding underneath a vehicle in a nearby apartment complex and was taken into custody after a short chase.

Police said Whisenant was found inside a suspicious vehicle, along with 22-year-old Alexandra Garrabrant. They were taken into custody without further incident.
