PARADISE VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) -- Authorities say they're still trying to identify a woman found dead in a townhome complex's pool on the Scottsdale-Paradise Valley line.
Scottsdale police say the woman who appeared to be middle-aged was found in the pool by a security guard about 4:30 a.m. Thursday at a townhome complex.
Police say there were no obvious signs of foul play and investigators are working the death as a drowning.
Investigators say they're also trying to find out what brought the woman to the pool before her death.

PARADISE VALLEY, Ariz. -- Police are trying to identify a woman who was found at the bottom of a community pool early Friday morning.
Paramedics responded to a condo complex in the area southwest Scottsdale Road and McDonald Drive, which is on the border between Scottsdale and Paradise Valley, at about 4:45 a.m.
According to Sgt. Mark Clark of the Scottsdale Police Department, a maintenance worker spotted the woman's body and immediately alerted a security guard.
"There are no obvious signs of foul play at this point in the investigation," Clark said in an email to media outlets. "We are working to identify her and find the circumstances that brought her to the pool."
At this point, the woman's death is a mystery.
"There's a lot of things it could be," Clark told 3TV's Jill Galus. "It could have been intoxication. It could have been a medical issue. ... There's nothing obvious at this point as to what happened other than that she was in the water, and she most likely drowned."
Police have not released any information about the woman, describing her only as "middle-aged." It is not clear if she was a resident of the complex or a guest.
