PHOENIX -- Police surrounded a North Phoenix home Thursday night after learning that an aggravated assault suspect might have barricaded himself inside.

Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Trent Crump said tactical teams responded to the house at 29th and Dunlap avenues to see if the suspect was inside and to clear the house.

They used a bullhorn to try to convince the man to come out and broke the front windows of the home.

Officers also called in K-9 units.

Dunlap Avenue was closed from 29th to 31st avenues.

Details about the aggravated assault case and the suspect were not immediately available.
