New House of Comedy opens Tuesday at CityNorth

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Get ready for some belly laughs at a brand new comedy spot in Scottsdale.

Rick Bronson's House of Comedy is coming to High Street in CityNorth. Opening night is Tuesday. Comedian TJ Miller will be appearing September 4-7. Miller currently starts in HBO's Silicon Valley and costars in Transformers 4.

The new comedy club will continue to showcase some top funny acts.

The Phoenix location will be only the third for House of Comedy, which also operates clubs at the Mall of America in Minnesota and West Edmonton Mall in Canada.

"I am a snowbird who bought a home here about five years ago and fell in love with the community," says Bronson. "I never thought I'd be in business here because this is my vacation mecca."

House of Comedy will occupy a 6,600-square-foot space east of Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill at CityNorth. The venue also offers a menu featuring burgers, sandwiches, salads and comedy cocktails. The menu also features Rick’s signature items: fried cheese curds and Canadian-inspired poutine.
