PHOENIX -- You may have noticed a lot of folks wearing orange on Tuesday. It's not a coincidence! It's Go Orange Day, an effort to help battle childhood hunger.

The 2nd annual Battle Against Childhood Hunger kicked off on Tuesday, Sept. 2 and continues through the month. In Arizona, one in every four children struggles with hunger every day. That's worse than the national average.

3TV is teaming up with grocery partners to implement the plan. All month, you can donate at all Bashas', Food City, Safeway and Albertson's stores across the state. Every penny raised goes directly to non-profit programs that feed hungry children.

"There are 30 ways and 30 days you can help," says Jerry Brown of Saint Mary's Food Bank. You can starting by wearing your orange shirt Tuesday!

Then, go to where you can click on a calendar to see each day's activities and incentives.

There are five non-profit organizations that are recipients of funds raised through this program. They are:

-Association of Arizona Food Banks
-Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona
-Kitchen on the Street
-St. Mary's Food Bank

Plus, some of your favorite 3TV talent will be on site at our grocer partners throughout the month. So come on down and support the Battle Against Childhood Hunger.
