Transitioning to fall: fashion tips for the new season
By Tami Hoey
PHOENIX -- Dressing for fall isn't easy when you live in Arizona. While the rest of country gets ready for cool, crisp temperatures, we're still baking in triple-digit heat.
But there are some ways to make the transition to the new season.
Jennifer Dennison with Phoenix Premium Outlets says one trick is to layer. "Layer lighter items with the heavier items for fall," she advises.
We saw an Old Navy Outlet mustard-colored skirt with a floral skirt and brown booties. The floral skirt is expected to be a big trend this fall. "They were on trend this summer and they will carry into fall," says Dennison.
Shoppers at the Gap Outlet can find a burgundy sweater, black jumpsuit and leopard-print flats.
Saks Fifth Avenue Off Fifth is showing off a simple gray top, patterned leggings and a motorcycle jacket. We're seeing the booties again, which are also on trend for fall.
