Suspect sought in armed robbery of N. Phoenix convenience store

PHOENIX -- Police are searching for a man in the armed robbery of a North Phoenix convenience store.

Shortly before 9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 4, a man pointed a black handgun at two clerks at the Quick Stop store near Cave Creek and Greenway roads and demanded money, according to police.

The clerks complied, and the man fled the store.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male in his late teens to early 20s, between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall, and 300 to 350 pounds. He was wearing a black T-shirt, gray basketball shorts and black gloves.
