PRESCOTT, Ariz. – A man calling himself the "Dark Lord" was arrested after he allegedly burned a Bible and urinated on it at a Prescott rescue mission.

Prescott police received a call from someone at the Gospel Rescue Mission reporting a man burning something on the front steps at about 9 p.m. Thursday.

Lt. Ken Morley said officers found Eric William Minerault, 22, of Prescott, dressed in black and wearing a long black-and-red robe and a pentagram necklace.

The officers noticed a Bible that was wet and appeared to have been burned lying on the ground. Minerault admitted to burning the Bible and urinating on it, according to Morley.

Minerault reportedly told the officers that he chose the mission because he believed it was a place of Christian worship and he was "cursing the Christians."

Morley said the officers asked him why and he said because he is the "Dark Lord."

Minerault was taken into custody for unlawful symbol burning, a misdemeanor, and was booked into the Yavapai County Detention Center.
